Dr. Michael DeLuke was born and raised in Upstate NY and represents the third generation of DeLuke’s entering the dental profession. His grandfather, the late Dominick DeLuke, was a prominent oral surgeon whose four sons all became dentists.
Dr. DeLuke attended Villanova University and graduated cum laude in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science and a Minor in Spanish. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine where he was class Valedictorian and the recipient of fourteen academic and clinical awards at graduation, including the award for obtaining the highest score on the National Board Examination. Dr. DeLuke went on to complete his orthodontic training at the University of Connecticut, receiving both a Certificate of Proficiency in Orthodontics and a Master of Dental Science (MDS) degree, and served as Chief Resident during his final year.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. DeLuke has held faculty appointments at multiple hospitals and residency programs, including Albany Medical Center (cleft craniofacial team), the University of Connecticut Health Center (Department of Orthodontics), Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine (Department of Orthodontics), and Ellis Hospital (general practice residency). He currently serves as adjunct faculty in the Pediatric Dental Residency program at Healthcare Network in Naples, FL, and is a visiting faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics at Montefiore Einstein Hospital in Bronx, NY.
Dr. DeLuke owned and operated DeLuke Orthodontics in Upstate New York from 2005 to 2023 and founded DeLuke Orthodontic Coaching in 2022 to help orthodontists achieve both professional excellence and personal fulfillment. He is an internationally recognized lecturer with over two decades of experience speaking at regional and national meetings, and his scholarly work includes multiple publications in dental and orthodontic journals. Dr. DeLuke is a founding faculty member of The Institute for Functional Dentistry, an Advisory Board Member of the Children’s Airway First Foundation, a member of the Editorial Board of OrthoTown Magazine, and creator and host of The DOC Podcast. He also maintains a part-time clinical practice in Florida, providing locum tenens work for colleagues.
Throughout his career, Dr. DeLuke has been deeply committed to early, proactive orthodontic care. This focus has led to the development of airway-centered treatment protocols that he now teaches worldwide.


Dr. DeLuke resides in Naples, FL with his wife, Renee, and two daughters, Gianna and Kendall. He is a fitness enthusiast and boxer who still actively trains.
